What moves the price?
There’s no honest one-size price for dirt work. These are the things that make one job cost more or less than another. Tell us about yours and we’ll give you a free written bid.
Acreage & project size
More ground means more machine time, but bigger jobs usually spread the cost of hauling equipment out to you.
How thick it is
Open pasture with scattered brush goes faster than thick brush or mature timber. Tree size matters too.
Stumps
Leaving stumps cut low, grinding them, or pulling them out for a building pad are very different amounts of work.
Haul-off, burn or shred
Hauling debris off costs more than shredding it in place. Burning depends on local rules and burn bans.
Access for equipment
Gates, culverts, soft shoulders, slopes and how close a truck can get all affect the setup.
Soil & wet clay
After heavy rain, clay soil has to dry out before it can be worked or compacted, which affects scheduling.
