House Pads, Grading & Site Prep in Paris, TX

A slab is only as good as the dirt under it. We build level, compacted pads and grade the ground around them so water runs away from your building.

“Extremely pleased with the dirt work that was done around our house. Great job!”

The foundation under your foundation

Whether you’re putting up a new home, a metal shop, a barn or a commercial building, Circle H prepares the site: clearing, cut and fill, building up and compacting the pad, and shaping the surrounding grade for drainage.

Northeast Texas clay moves when it gets wet and dry, so pad work is about more than pushing dirt flat. We work to your builder’s plans and specifications and keep you in the loop from bid to final grade.

One customer put it simply: they’d recommend us “for anything from smaller projects like driveways and house pads to big projects such as commercial projects.”

Site prep and grading services

  • House pads – preparing stable foundations for homes
  • Dirt work – general earthmoving and grading for residential properties
  • Cut/fill – excavation and grading for site leveling
  • Subgrade preparation – base for roads, parking lots and foundations
  • Site work – complete site preparation for commercial projects
  • Sand and gravel supply for pads and base
  • Shop, barn and metal building pads
  • Final grading around new construction

How a pad job usually goes

  1. Walk the site. We look at the building location, slope, soil, access and where water goes.
  2. Free bid. Residential bids are back to you by the next day.
  3. Clear and strip. Vegetation and topsoil come off the building footprint.
  4. Build and compact. Fill is placed and compacted to the height and size on your plans.
  5. Grade for drainage. Ground is shaped so water moves away from the pad.

“We used Circle H to do our dirt work when building our office warehouses and self storage buildings. This was a big project and we searched for the right company. Dalton and his crew were easy to work with, did a great job, came in on budget and completed everything in a timely manner. We’d definitely use this company again and recommend to anyone.”
